The mountain resort of Chengde is the largest imperial garden existing in China. Located on the west bank of the river in the municipality Wuli Chengde, Hebei Province, covers an area of 5.64 million meters square. The place is under priority state protection and is a famous scenic area.
The villa was built to reinforce the northern border defense and to address ethnic issues in the border areas. Besides being a place of accommodation and holiday, special place meanings veiste memorials.
Many of the landscapes within the garden are replicas of many important landscapes from around the country. For example, the lakes of southeast resemble lakes and rivers of southern China, the north lawn looks like the plains of northern Mongolia, the western hills simulate plateaus, the mountain walls are similar to Great Wall.
