Nanjing is the capital of Jiangsu Province and the political, economic, cultural and communication of it. The Yangtze River passes north of the city and Bell Mountain rises majestically in the southeast. The grandeur of these landforms made the city known as “City of the crouching tiger and the dragon coiled,” referring to the mountain and river views.
