The Great Wall of China is one of the most brutal civil engineering in the history of mankind. Chronicles say that for 2100 years, from the V century BC to the sixteenth century, the Chinese fortifications were protected from invasions of nomads from the north. And its main purpose was not to prevent it from being crossed, but rather to prevent the invaders brought with them horses.
Emperor Qin Shi Huangdi, famous among other things to make the terracotta soldiers of Xian, he united the empire in 221 BC and joined the stretches of wall constructed previously. During the next thousand years of the reconstruction, the wall grew to 7300 km in length.

Provinces and Cities
Originating in the Bayan Har Mountains, the Yellow River steps with seven provinces and two autonomous regions, namely Qinghai, Sichuan, Gansu, Ningxia, Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Henan and Shandong. The mouth of the Yellow River is located in Dongying, Shandong.
The provinces of Hebei and Henan derive their names from the Huang He. Their names mean respectively “north of the river (Yellow)” and “south of the river (yellow).”
Major cities located along the Yellow River include, from the source, Lanzhou, Wuhai, Baotou, Kaifeng, and Jinan.

In downtown Beijing, the Imperial Palace reverberates golden in the sun, very well defended by splendid watchtowers at each corner, the high walls and wide canals that surround it.
This was the palace of the Ming and Qing. Since 1420, when construction was completed – and over 500 years until the fall of the Qing dynasty in 1911 – twenty-four emperors lived and exercised supreme power here.

They say that in ancient China lived a sage named Peng Zhu who along with his family moved to the southeast where he settled in a beautiful place. But soon after, this place suffered heavy flooding and people were forced to lead a miserable life. To divert water left by the flooding and improve site conditions, the children of Peng Zhu, Peng Wu and Peng called Yi, led the villagers in the work of opening and construction of a canal. Currently this channel is known to Jiuquxi-Arroyo of the new curve. To remember the exploits of the brothers, the people called the mountain “Wuyi” a word made up their names and his father was recognized as king Wuyi. Mount Wuyi is part of the Wuyi mountain range that lies north of the province of Fujian. The Summer Palace, an Imperial Garden in Beijing

Urumqi
Urumqi, the capital of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, at the foot of the Tianshan Mountain Range, which stretches north and bathes the river of the same name.
